Menopause is a natural process in every woman’s life, which comes after the age of 45. But the time of menopause may vary from one woman to other. Menopause is not only a process that occurs in only female human beings but it is present in almost all animals having menstruation cycle e.g. gorillas, monkeys, rhesus monkeys etc. Menopause’s exact age is 45 to 55 and average age is 52 years but the age can vary from one female to another because of many factors involve in early and post menopause. Menopause is the process of reducing ovaries function or complete shutting down of ovarian function. During this phase ovaries stop producing eggs and other hormones for female reproductive system like Follicle stimulating hormones, estrogen and progesterone. In pre-menopause the estrogen and progesterone functions are reduced day by day. Irregularity of periods is the first symptom of perimenopause. Perimenopause symptom usually can be seen when a woman reach at the age of 35. Post-menopause is the complete stoppage of ovarian function. Ovaries are not capable to produce any hormone anymore.

A doctor can suggest a hormone therapy for a woman suffering from menopause because it can reduce the chances of other diseases, which can occur after menopause. If the symptoms are not cured in early stages it can cause breast cancer, heart attack, high blood pressure and high cholesterol level.
A balanced diet during menopause can reduced the effects of menopause on a woman’s body and mind. Your diet should be vegetables, fruits and salads. Excess of water is very helpful to keep yourself healthy during menopause. Avoid the alcohol and smoking during menopause it will increase your problems during menopause.
Weight gain during menopause is a symptom, which can only be controlled by the balanced diet. During menopause weight reduction rate can be slowed down in a woman’s body. Take rich protein diet but low fats will be helpful for you to reduce your weight during menopause. Increase the intake of calcium, water, fibers, fruits and vegetables.
